And a number of them took that to heart yesterday, impressing selectors with their stroke play during the second Barbados Cricket Association trial match for next year’s regional One-day tournament.
Shane Dowrich, Kevin Stoute and Kyle Hope revelled in the lovely batting conditions, all making half centuries.
