Health fair that’s unique

BIKERS spoke about motorcycle safety on the road; the Men’s Educational Support Association encouraged men to look after their health; and a variety of people peddled alternative medicines.
It was all at LIME’s corporate headquarters in Government Hill, St Michael, when the Unique Helping Hands Senior School held its health fair on Errol Barrow Day.
The morning’s activities began with a session conducted by instructors of Surfside Wellness Centre and continued with booths showcasing the goods and services of the Asthma Association, Diabetes Association and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Penelope Howell, of Unique Helping Hands Senior School, said the public had been very supportive of the fun day.
“We had a bit of rain this morning but the response was good. As we picked up we were seeing a bit more people,” she said of the school’s second health fair. (HLE)
