‘Go’ for park and ride

Some patrons who plan on attending meets at the newly renovated Bushy Park racing track will have to utilise a park and ride system.
That is according to managing director of Infrastructural Services Inc, Vincent Alleyne, who believes that it will help to reduce a significant amount of traffic around Bushy Park and its neighbouring districts.
He revealed this during Thursday night’s town hall meeting at the Church of the Nazarene, Bushy Park, St Philip, which was held to discuss the proposed redevelopment of the Bushy Park Race Track.
Alleyne, whose business was contracted to conduct a Social Impact Assessment and Traffic Impact Assessment on the redevelopment, a requirement by the Chief Town Planner, said that after the Bushy Park/Beulah junction failed its assessment, other measures had to be introduced.
