Bittersweet day at Fontabelle

The Fontabelle branch of CIBC FirstCaribbean closed its doors for the final time yesterday to a mix of sadness, disappointment and anticipation of the future.
Branch manager Carolyn Cozier said it was a “bittersweet” experience as she said goodbye to customers.
“The customers will miss us and the staff will be separated into other branches but we are looking forward to continue serving,” she said.
Cozier had been manager at the branch for a year and a half. She said she enjoyed making customers feel warm and welcome and would continue to do so wherever she went. As for the last day of business, she said it “went well”.
“It was an ordinary busy Friday,” she said.
On a whole, customers said the branch was convenient and felt disappointed by the news of the closure.
