Keana Banfield’s inspirational tale resulted in an outpouring of love yesterday.
The admiration of her friends, schoolmates, teachers and family was apparent as the story of the nine-year-old unfolded – a story of illness, pain, near death, hope and faith.
Keana was at her old school, Christ Church Girls’, for a thanksgiving ceremony after a year of battling an unknown disease in a Miami hospital. She suffered many life-threatening side effects.
After the ceremony, her friends and former schoolmates gathered around the brave girl giving her hugs and kisses as she basked in the attention and told stories of abroad and of her unshakeable faith in God. (CA)
