Ravens make light work of Enforcers

IT WAS the battle of supremacy as the two top teams clashed in the Barbados Darts Association’s domestic season last week.
In the end, defending champions Ravens Darts Academy made light work of A&T Enforcers 9-2 on the oche at the Grazettes Resource Centre.
The only resistance for the Enforcers came from Clyde Murrell as he shackled Donnie Inniss 3-2 in 26, 27 and 28 legs of darts.
The next win came from the pharmacist Eloise Martin as she injected Michelle Stephens with a high score of 180 in a 3-2 win with needles of darts as long as 22, 41 and 33.
Over at Passage Road Community Centre, Vitamalt Graduates “A” escaped the disruption of service from LIME Flighters, winning 6-5.
LIME fought desperately in the final block of the night but it was too late as the Brydens boys claimed victory in the second men’s singles.
National player Roger Edwards gained an easy win over Colin Price in 20, 21 and 22 legs.
At the Garden of Eden Lodge Community Centre, Norlink Eden Flighters took down the sails of the Port Inc. and sent them adrift 9-2.
Old timers Winston Edwards of Norlink beat Hubert Williams 3-1 while teammate Stephen Skinner made David Mapp feel the heavy weight of his arrows 3-0 in 27, 29 and 18  legs of darts.
It was a night of misfortune for the Digicel Signals “B” as they were dismissed 6-5 despite receiving two games by default from the newly-formed Vitamalt Graduates “B” side which is managed by national coach Gregory Catlyn.
At the Garrison Hill, the Reddy Kilowatt Sparks “B” were not that lucky as they had two faulty breakers and the Digicel Signals “A” took advantage by winning 8-3.
However, the Reddy Kilowatt Sparks “A” team restored some pride in the Garrison team as they narrowly edged BUT Cavaliers 6-5.
There were some exciting games from Kathy Sealy of Cavaliers, who blanked  Katrina Forde 3-0 in 21, 32 and 20 legs of darts and Cindy Marshall, who beat Jennifer Smith 3-1. (PR/EZS)
