Pastor’s pest-in-law

WHILE it appears as if some members of the clergy are getting a bashing from their congregation, there is at least one church where members are joining in support of their leader.
Apparently, the young leader has been going through a very stressing domestic situation involving his mother-in-law, who happens to be strongly involved in church activities.
This very interfering “monster-in-law” has been making some very cruel statements about her daughter’s relationship with the priest, and this has not gone down well with church members.
She is adamant that she will break up her daughter’s marriage to the priest and keeps complaining that she is not being allowed to spend enough time with her grandchild.
Church members, who were sympathetic with this woman when her husband left her many years ago, are now convinced that he was telling the truth when he called her a vindictive liar.
They want to know if she is jealous of her daughter’s union because her own marriage did not last as long as a sno-cone and she ended up in an affair with a female church leader.
They also want the church leader to stop being so silent about his mother-in-law’s negative antics and kick her out of the church if he has to.

Bloody nuisance
RESIDENTS at London Bourne Towers are livid!
Every two weeks or so they are greeted with soiled feminine napkins littered throughout the neighbourhood and nobody seems able to pinpoint which female, or probably male, is dumping them.
The situation has become so worrisome that upset residents have been calling the National Housing Corporation to conduct an investigation into this bloody situation since many of them can’t even step into their backyards to hang out their laundry.
One angry resident even sent out a warning to the culprit in P&S – cease the unclean practice or she will gather all of the dirty pads, take them to the obeah woman and the person responsible will never be able to stop their menstrual cycle.

Spoiling the broth
IT SEEMS that meal time has turned into a shopping spree for certain food handlers who work in a Government institution.
P&S understands that every day as soon as the raw food and goods hit the kitchens there is a mad scramble by some of the cooks to get the best vegetables, meats, canned foods and other goodies to take home for themselves and their families.
What has some people concerned is that the supervisors do nothing about this situation, turning a blind eye to the number of big bags which are stuffed into car trunks.
One worker said they have never seen such blatant theft of foodstuff and they want to know if the cooks have become so desperate because of the tough economic times.
In any case, some feel this is a despicable situation because at the end of the day the persons who are suffering are the ones who the food was intended to feed in the first place.

In hot water again
A WELL KNOWN ADMINISTRATOR has fouled up again and this time his bosses have taken swift action.
The situation has left many of his colleagues wondering what he was thinking since he barely managed to wiggle out of an embarrassing situation earlier this year.
Now the $30 000 question being asked is how he could find himself in hot water again when everyone was thinking that he had finally cut ties with a certain individual.
