RESIDENTS OF BARBADOS are being advised to remain on the alert and to take all necessary precautions in light of current weather conditions.
According to the Barbados Meteorological Services, a passing tropical wave is interacting with an “upper-level low and trough” over the Eastern Caribbean, resulting in pockets of moderate to heavy showers, thunderstorms and occasional gusty winds.
In a special weather bulletin issued at 11 a.m., director Hampden Lovell said “analysis is suggesting that these conditions are likely to persist well into the afternoon and into tonight”. (NB)
