ST JOHN’S – LIAT, The Caribbean Airline, has undertaken a review of the fares that were traditionally offered to customers and has increased the range from seven to 15.
The move, which will offer customers greater choice and flexibility when booking tickets with LIAT, came into effect at a minute past midnight on October 29, 2014. All fares are now available for booking and travel on LIAT services.
David Evans, chief executive officer (CEO) of LIAT commented: “The increased number of fare classes means that customers will have more choice when making a booking as the increased classes now offer a variety of fare types and pricing levels.
Additionally, the increase also allows LIAT to plan development of future special relationships and greater management of interline and groups, who will have dedicated booking classes.”
Each booking class has a new set of fare rules and revised levels of charges for changes before and after departure, cancellations and no shows.
On the LIAT website, customers will be able to book Web Saver fares which offer the best price in the market. The website will automatically pre-select the cheapest flight on the day for the customer. However, if customers require a greater degree of flexibility with their booking, allowing for changes before or after departure, then they can select any other fare type, such as Semi and Fully-Flexible fares which will provide them with greater flexibility in their travel arrangements.
