It was a “Pink Affair” fundraiser to aid sufferers of breast cancer and while patrons were having fun, founder of The Little Pink Gift Foundation, Lynda Lewis, was already considering how best the $4 000 eventually raised would be spent.
The cocktail reception and silent auction were held last month at the Drift Wood Loungein St James and Sacha Cabral, retail directorof one of the sponsors, Wine World, described it as a wonderful opportunity to create more awareness for the foundation.
The support was heartening to Lewis, herself a breast cancer survivor, as she commented, “The ambience, food, drinks and prizes were great and contributed hugely to the evening’s success.”
