His concerns were raised in the presence of Acting Chief Town Planner George Browne while both were attending a town planning seminar hosted by the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and moments after Browne said the department had significantly shortened its application processing times.
Hiorns, who is director of Architect Mark Hiorns Incorporated and has practised here for the last 35 years, told the DAILY NATION last night that he was not out to pick a fight with the planning department and he understood improvements had been made even as the state agency faced a number of challenges.
