There are numerous places in the annals of our country’s architectural culture.

Whether it is a lighthouse, hotel, plantation house, the popular chattel house or an old hospital building, artists from time to time present us with relics from the past, as seen here on this page.

Included among the many pieces of art on display at the ongoing exhibition, entitled Independence, at the Pelican Art Gallery are paintings that showcase various places of interest.

If you have not yet visited, there’s still one more week before the exhibition closes on November 30.

Visit and be mesmerised by all this exhibition offers. (CCH)
