Rehab centre coming for women

BARBADOS WILL SOON have its first rehabilitation centre for women battling with various forms of addiction.

Plans for Marina House, which will be based in St John, were revealed this afternoon during a media launch at Verdun House. Marina House is a collaboration between the Maria Holder Trust and the Substance Abuse Foundation.

The residential treatment facility is being refurbished at a cost of $5 million and will have the capacity to cater to 16 women. 

August 2015 is the target for completion. (YB)
