PARENTS OF SOME STUDENTS writing the Barbados Secondary Schools Entrance Exam (BSSEE) are so keen on getting them into certain schools that they will relocate in a bid to beat Government’s zoning system.

Zone Three, which has schools such as Christ Church Foundation, The Lodge School, Springer Memorial, St Leonard’s Boys’ and The St Michael School, is one of the desired target areas.

Education officer for exams in the Ministry of Education, Everton Briggs, who made the disclosure, said: “Every year, everybody who has a child sitting the examination moves to St John, St Philip or Christ Church.”

Briggs was addressing a town hall meeting the ministry held at the George Lamming Primary School on Wednesday evening to brief parents and guardians on the exam, which will be held May 5, next year. (TY)
