An eight out of ten is the rating given to the Barbados women’s team after their 3-1 victory over Dominica last Saturday evening at the University of the West Indies Usain Bolt Complex, and a draw the next day at the Dover Playing Field.

The rating was done by head coach of the team Thomas Jordan, who said it was granted for results and not the performance alone, as he believes the team still has a long way to go.

The scoreline in the first match did not necessarily depict the true nature of the game as Dominica were in control of the first 15 minutes of the encounter and were mostly competitive in the second half.

Jordan highlighted his country’s slow start and indicated this has been a problem for most Barbadian teams in the past but he was quick to compliment his ladies for settling after that and adjusting to the quick, slick conditions and passing the balls on. (ROG)
