WHEN IT COMES TO ROOTS REGGAE, with plenty of soul and just enough sweetness to make it “pop”, one singer stands head and shoulders above the rest – Maxi Priest.

Maxi put down a rousing performance on Saturday night at the second leg of the rebranded Naniki Music Festival, held at Holders House, St James. Giving fans over two hours of treats, he went way back with songs such as Wild World, In The Springtime, Crazy Love and Close To You.

Here, Maxi, drenched in sweat, soaking up the attention of his fans. (Picture by Insight Digital.)
