GOVERNMENT IS PLANNING a $7 million initiative that could see natural gas back up and running at full steam within the next three to four weeks.

Prime Minister Freundel Stuart made the announcement in the House of Assembly yesterday as he outlined a number of measures to be put in place to alleviate the natural gas shortage which has plagued several businesses, particularly on the island’s tourist belts on the West and South Coasts, over the past weeks.

“The Ministry of Energy has been looking at the transportation of compressed natural gas by trailer mounting vessels.
