ST KITTS AND NEVIS’ Prime Minister Dr Denzil Douglas announced the date of the next general election will be February 16 to a massive crowd assemble in Buckley’s Tuesday night.
In the presence of over 8 000 people, the eight (8) St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) and the three (3) Nevis Reformation Party (NRP) candidates contesting the Federal Elections, assisted the SKNLP National Political Leader in ringing the bell.
“Tonight we have rung the bell in Constituency Number Three and we shall have all eleven seats!” Dr Douglas said.
Nomination Day is February 6.
The Prime Minister Douglas urged his supporters to spread out with Labour’s message.
SKNLP candidates: Dr Earl Asim Martin (St Christopher 1); Marcella Liburd (St Christopher 2); Konris Maynard (St Christopher 3); Glenn Phillip (St Christopher 4); Dr Norgen Wilson (St Christopher 5); Dr Denzil L. Douglas (St Christopher 6); Dr Vance Gilbert (St Christopher 7) and Dr Terrance Drew (St Christopher 8).
Historically, appearing on the same political platform stage were the NRP candidates of Nevis: Robelto Hector (Nevis 9); Corey Tyson (Nevis 10) and Patrice Nisbett (Nevis 11).
A confident Prime Minister Douglas, who is seeking an unprecedented fifth consecutive term, used the opportunity to invited supporters of the People’s Action Movement (PAM), the People’s Labour Party (PLP and the Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) “and those who call themselves Unity to crossover.
