RUSSELL MOSELEY’s got another title in sight.
Tennis’ reigning national champ made his way safely through to the second round of the Pine Hill Dairy Championships following a straight sets win over 14-year-old Aaron Hayden at the Ocean View courts this week.
Playing in the men’s open, Moseley cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 win against the promising teenager.
Another teen, Xavier Lawrence, now awaits Moseley after the junior crushed Adrian Brandon 6-0, 6-1 in his opening singles match.
Second seed Andrew Thornton also advanced to the round of 16 via a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Richard Akaycli while Moseley’s older brother Ryan was the beneficiary of a default against Romani Mayers. (JM)
