DIFFERENT OCCASION but same refrain – business slow.
That was the cry from many City vendors yesterday on Valentine’s Day sales. They were looking forward to a last-minute rush in order to record good sales.
“It’s not as good as previous years but I am still hoping by later today [yesterday] and tomorrow [today] things pick up. I’m hoping for a late rush,” said Mario Leacock of Fashion Angel along Swan Street.
Leacock said stuffed animals were his best sellers but he also offered balloons, candy and flowers.
