DEAR CHRISTINE: Bowled over by classmate

Share post:

DEAR CHRISTINE, I AM 15 years of age and attend one of the top and older secondary schools on the island.

I am not exactly writing to receive advice but to show and tell of my appreciation for one of the most beautiful human beings I have ever met.

We have been in the same class at school from first form all the way up now to fourth form.

In this country we continue to see and hear about young men who don’t know where they are going or do not have any goals to strive for, but I’ve met one who knows.

I’ve never met a young man with as much intelligence, beauty, self-respect and to top it off, one who is such a gentleman.

I love him. I may not be in love with him but the love and admiration I have for him is unbelievable.

I was recently speaking to my mum about him. I told her how much I wish and long for my future husband to have his attributes. Sometimes I cry just thinking about the amazing person he really is and I have vowed to myself to tell him how I truly feel about him.

I hope he never changes and if I cannot be that woman [when I grow up] to love him unconditionally, I hope his future wife won’t take advantage of his kindness and that she treats him like the king he is. I know he’ll treat her like the queen she should be.
I love you, T.M.A.K.

Dear Babycakes,

Your letter is loaded with love and affection, which appears to be pure and genuine.

I hope this young man to whom your letter is actually “written” will get the opportunity to read it and appreciate that you truly love and admire him.

I guess by sharing your affection for him publicly, you show all and sundry that pure and true love really does exist and that young persons like yourself can still find “heroes” of some sort within your inner circles.

– CHRISTINE
