I CONFESS: Gay family friend came on to me

This is the story of Nathan (not his real name) who was abused as a child. Below is Part 2 of that story as he recounts his life.

NEGATIVITY ATTRACTS NEGATIVITY. Positivity, however, attracts not only other positivity but negativity as well and this is why. In this world that is dominated by negativity, the sole purpose of negativity is to change/convert everything that is not of itself into itself. The way it does this is by first casting the illusion of positivity.

I’ve learned that in this life there is good, and there is also the “illusion of good” cast bypure evil.

At 13 I met a person who to my knowledgehas always had and still has a specific, unique“air” about him, an amazingly magnetic aspectof his personality that attracts you to him.I had never witnessed someone with such an entertaining quality to them; someone thatwas so “full of life”.

So as a child who knew nothing of theworld and the different types of people in it,it never once crossed my mind that someonewould enter/invade my life, just to act out aderanged sexual fantasy/fetish or urge. Thiswas a grown adult who was respected, wellknown and trusted enough by those who tookme under their care.

The process that led to me and this personwas a very slow one.

This person would speak to me anytime they saw me, but it was never the normal nod of the head. It was always a very welcoming smile, with lots of eye contact and “small talk” to give the impression of interest. Whenever we would communicate, he would always present himself in a very flamboyant manner.

I was at the time a very innocent, polite, quiet, reserved and introverted child and I’m sure that because of these personality traits that I stuckout like a sore thumb to my predator. I was, asthey say, “easy pickings”.

Another factor that contributed greatlyto making this possible was that this predatoralready had a relationship of sorts with thefamily. That made access to me much easierand decreased the suspicion that anythingabusive could happen. It was in thisintroductory phase of our interaction/friendshipthat he would express offers to teach mehow to drive. He would bring up the offerfrom time to time; but never too much thatit ever became annoying.

As an example, one day as I was returningfrom a shopping errand, I saw him conversingwith an unknown gentleman. They noticedthat I saw them and we greeted each otherin a more visual way than a verbal one asI passed by.

I took a couple of seconds to admire their vehicle, which was very well kept. He then said: “I know you want to drive that, yuh know”. I smirked and continued on my way home. This person would occasionally pass by my home to converse. In actuality, however, it was really the process of my “grooming” being put into action.

There was a slow and steady increase in the number of times he would stop by just to chat. He eventually made me aware of his homosexual lifestyle during a conversation we had in his car. I didn’t think anything of the fact that he lived a gay lifestyle or feel threatened by it in any way. This was probably due to the fact that he always presented himself in such a “respectable” manner, as such a “stand-up guy”,full of humour and fun, a “family friend”.

One night in my backyard we were chattingand I did a hand-stand with the challenge beingto completely travel the distance of the backyard. Somehow the conversation, on his part seamlessly transitioned to the topic of oral sex. He did a demonstration with a banana.

The second occasion we were conversing inthe garage and he changed the subject to undergarments and the type he preferred. He was loud and not ashamed to show the colourand type he was wearing.

We would go to the beach from time to time.It was there that he really shed the skin of thesheep and showed the wolf that he was.

He touched me and I was forced to threatenhim . . . .I cannot recall how many stories ofhis sexual encounters and experiences he sharedwith me. How many times he would encourageme to join him and experience the gay lifestyle. How many times he would reveal the most private details of so many others to me, completely outof nowhere.

Jokes are a very powerful “tool” which canbe used to distract persons from the realityof one’s true intentions. Making a joke about something lightens the atmosphere aroundwhatever that “something” is. Some predatorswill tell you some of their most deranged, disgusting fantasies in a manner of“the joke”.
