WICKED AND NASTY. That is how firebrand parliamentarian Donville Inniss has described the suggestion by three prominent citizens that there is vote-buying going on in Barbados around election time.

And he has suggested that the same way the three want politicians jailed, businessmen who pass money to politicians to get favours should be penalised as well.

“You need to strongly, not subliminally, but boldly state that any businessman who provides money to a politician to buy votes should also be locked up and heavily punished,” Inniss said yesterday.
