A NEW $10 million home for the Barbados Civil Aviation Department should be ready within a few months.

Word of this came from Minister of Tourism and International Transport Richard Sealy today during a tour of the building under construction at Charnocks, Christ Church, near the Grantley Adams International Airport (GAIA).

Sealy told reporters the building was on target and on budget, being constructed by CRS Building and Maintenance Inc, with GAIA acting as project manager.

Barbados’ air traffic controllers went on strike last November complaining about the physical environment in which they had to work as well as a reported staff shortage. (TY)
