THE TASTE OF NAPSAC glory was very sweet for Charles F. Broome at the National Stadium yesterday.

They dethroned St Stephen’s in the girls’ competition and placed second in the boys’ behind reigning kings Williams Industries West Terrace.

In a purposeful all-round display, the new queens topped the table with 122 points, 19 more than St Stephen’s, who had 103, followed by Bayley’s with 80.

West Terrace boys fought hard to stave off the competition to retain their crown with 110 points, beating Charles F. Broome into second place with 94.50 and the improving Milton Lynch, who were third with 80.

It was the juniors who created most of the excitement after the curtain was raised
on a day filled with exciting performances and finishes. (AT)
