BARBADOS COULD SOON be welcoming flights from the new WestJet fleet.
Business development manager Kimberley Tobias gave the teaser to local travel agents and tourism officials at a recent cocktail reception at Island Inn which was intended to say thank you to the Barbadian stakeholders.
Tobias said WestJet would be acquiring a 767 plane in a few weeks and should have a total of four by year-end.
The 767s would be making domestic flights throughout Canada in the first instance.
“Maybe one day Barbados will be on those lists of destinations for a 767, and we’ll be able to increase our frequency,” she told the gathering.
