Government senator, Rev. Dr David Durant, is calling for swift action against parents who fail to pursue charges against the perpetrators of child abuse.
During a fiery address yesterday, Durant said parents should no longer be allowed to drop such charges because they had been paid to do so.
He told an audience at Restorations Ministries, Brittons Hill, St Michael, that sexual abuse should be a mandatory matter for the law courts when reported.
