West Indies Women beat Sri Lanka

HALF CENTURIES by Stafanie Taylor and Deandra Dottin spurred West Indies Women to victory over Sri Lanka Women in the second cricket match in the ICC Women’s Championships in Colombo.

Taylor was unbeaten on 86 and Dottin 69 as West Indies reached 215 for three off 50 overs. In reply, Sri Lanka were restricted to 170 for eight in 40.2 overs, losing by 18 runs on the Duckworth/Lewis method. icc-women

The target was revised to 209 off 46 overs after four overs were lost to rain when Sri Lanka were 99 for four in the 25th over. Nipuni Hansika scored 50 not out for Sri Lanka.

The series is tied 1-1, with the final One-Day International on Wednesday night.  (SAT)
