TODAY WILL BE an extremely tough one for 38-year-old Julieann Weekes as she visits the morgue at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital to observe the autopsy as it is performed on the body of her 12-year-old son who allegedly committed suicide Thursday night.

Weekes has spent the last four days coping with the trauma of having discovered her son Shamar as he hung from the roof of a shed in the yard of their rented Checker Hall, St Lucy apartment, before he was cut down by his stepfather, Shawn Greaves.

While Weekes declined to relive the pain associated with the actual discovery of her son last Thursday night, DAILY NATION sources said that he was still breathing when the body was retrieved, but died before the ambulance arrived.
