WEST INDIES and Chennai Super Kings cricketer Dwayne Bravo has released a music video to his song Chalo! Chalo!
According to a release by Team Bravo, Chalo! Chalo!, which translates to “Let’s go! Let’s go” from Hindi, is an uptempo piece with international appeal, which was shot in India.
It features fellow Trinidadian Nisha B, known for “for fashion, flair and style, the lead female singer of her chutney industry [who can] can sing, dance and perform any genre of music including rap, dub, soca while dishing out a Lata Mangeshkar number”.
The single is gaining popularity in India where Bravo recently set the Indian Premier League record of becoming the first player to score 1 000 runs and take 100 wickets. At the time of writing, it had more than 65 000 views on YouTube.
Fellow West Indies cricketers Kieron Pollard, Lendl Simmons, Chris Gayle and Darren Sammy, as well as Indian star Virat Kohli and New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum all make cameo appearances.
Bravo has recorded several songs with Jamaican dancehall artiste Beenie Man and is working towards the production of a full album. (SAT/PR)
