A JAMAICAN MAN appeared in court today and pleaded guilty to four drug offences.
Police say 36-year-old Mark Anthony Myers arrived by air from Jamaica on June 8 and was interviewed by police and referred to a medical facility.
He subsequently passed 54 packages of cannabis which weighed one and a half pounds.
Myers was charged with possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation.
He was fined $15 000 forthwith on the charge of importation and convicted, reprimanded and discharged on the other charges. He failed to pay the fine. (PR/NB)
