KOMI staff strike over pay

SIX EMPLOYEES of Kensington Oval Management Inc. (KOMI) went on strike yesterday protesting the non-payment of back pay.

Every Month Is Another Excuse, No Money No Work and Selective Payment Can’t Work KOMI read placards held by the workers as they stood outside the historic cricket stadium.

Maintenance officer Winston Reid explained that the money was due since 2008 and last year the board of management “signed off on the payment saying we should get the money soon”.

However, he said every month they were hearing that KOMI had other commitments.
