ARE YOU WHERE you’ve always wanted to be?

I truly believe that all journeys are purposeful and of divine nature. This belief has kept me grounded spiritually and it has led me to a point of knowledge that all I have achieved in life is due to an understanding of purposeful living and self-awareness.

When I reflect on past endeavours and ambitions, I do so with a profound sense of joy, because that is what has propelled my varying interests, be it related to business, the arts or enriching people’s lives. I have not reached my zenith but I will continue to soar with unbridled passion and joy.

What is your biggest professional challenge?

The inability to delegate efficient time to all things important so that deadlines are effectively accomplished proves to be a challenge in a fast paced business environment. Additionally, keeping abreast of the technology and its immense usage in business related models is of optimum importance to me.

What is your biggest life challenge?

I am yet to discover the balance between work and play. It becomes a funny story when, to some, my time at work appears to be playtime. Also finding that quiet voice so that I can say no at times and enjoying a full fledged vacation with family and close friends.

When you look to the future, what do you see?

There is a school of thought which suggests that the future is determined by present circumstances and happenings. If we follow that precedent, then it serves to reason that any view of the future will encompass the rapid advancement of technology, man’s deeper search for spirituality and universal schooling for peace and a wave of intelligence in understanding the might and power of mother nature.

Personally, I see my continued efforts in developing and enhancing a personal and corporate brand as optimum.

What is your favourite pastime?

I enjoy the relaxation when I am at horse racing and the warm communal atmosphere at a karaoke affair. Perhaps, I also need to rekindle moments of getting lost in a good book.

What is your favourite meal?

I love the enthralling taste of sushi. Not to be left out is some split pea rice, baked pork and coleslaw on the side and my heart is captured.

On Saturday nights where are you likely to be?

Providing that I do not have to perform at, or host, a function, it is likely I’ll be hanging out with my wife, family and friends somewhere, anywhere.

What upsets you the most?

Bad customer service.

What is your guiding philosophy?

Do unto others as you would want them to do unto you and trust always in divine God.

If you had the chance to manage Barbados for a day, what would you do?

I would establish a firm policy that addresses and celebrates our consciousness as a people in understanding the international brand that spells Barbados. This brand will envelop facets of business at every level, culture and heritage as well as the individual pursuits in technology.

This will lead to the promotion of the phenomenon of world class customer service in the minds of all Barbadians. The employment of this extraordinary virtue is designed to ensure our stamp as a world class customer service destination and experience.
