ALTHOUGH BARBADOS fell short in accomplishing their goal of winning the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Regional Under-15 Tournament on Guyanese soil, coach Richard Clarke believes they performed well.
“We did well, we didn’t fulfill our ambitions but we still came away with four awards and to me that was satisfying,” Clarke said.
They included two Man Of The Match awards won by Ajani Ince and Shemwyn Harris; Most Disciplined Team and the Most Valuable Player award, won by Nyeem Young.
Guyana won the tournament, followed by Windward Islands, forcing Barbados to settle for third place after two of their matches were rained out.
Barbados won two of their three matches, beating Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago, but lost to the Windward Islands.
