Murder accused remanded to prison

MURDER ACCUSED Jason Cecil Spencer was today remanded to HMP Dodds after appearing in the District “A” Magistrates Court. 

The 34-year-old unemployed man of no fixed place of abode, was not required to plead to the murder of Charles Ellis on May 27, this year. 

Ellis was shot and injured whilst at Nelson Street, St Michael on May 5, 2015, and died on May 27.

Spencer was the subject of a police wanted notice in June.

Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant, presiding in Criminal Court No. 2, remanded Spencer to the penal institution until September 7, when the accused is scheduled to reappear. (GBM/PR)
