Two homeless after fire

MYSTERY SURROUNDS the cause of a fire yesterday morning that left two men from Thompson Road, Wavell, Black Rock, St Michael, homeless.

Fire Service officials said yesterday they were still carrying out investigations into the fire but neighbours told the DAILYNATION the two men, Dwight Greene and Randal Catlyn, were not at home at the time of the blaze and had not been seen up to late yesterday evening.

The story was less painful for the occupants of a house next door as neighbours and firefighters managed to control the blaze, stopping it from spreading further and limiting damage to the house.

Station officer Henderson Patrick said they arrived to find one house engulfed and the fire impinging on another property.
