IT WENT DOWN TO PENALTIES but in the end, A Badd Connection (ABC) were victorious over Maple in the women’s final of the Barbados Hockey Festival at Kensington Oval yesterday.
The match ended 1-1 at the end of regular time and then ABC, the defending champions, held on to win 5-4 in penalties.
Coach Nku Davis told SUNSPORT that ABC always expected the match to be close, and it went according to plan.
“The match went down to penalties because [our] people [failed] to put away their chances and they managed to draw level late and got back in the game. In the end we put it away in the penalties,” said Davis.
