THE DREAM has become reality for Chelsea Tuach.

Surfing’s teen titan won’t have to fantasise about the World Surf League Women’s Championship Tour any longer after winning the Women’s QS 6 000 Pantin Classic Galicia Pro in Spain to qualify for the world tour.

Competing in tough conditions on Saturday, the 19-year-old Bajan surfer held off Spaniard Leticia Canales Bilbao to win a low-scoring final and earn 6 000 ranking points.

“It’s been my dream for so long and I’ve been working so hard for it,” said Tuach of qualifying for next year’s tour. (JM/worldsurfleague.com)
