Moravians praised for their work

SINCE THE FIRST MORAVIANS came to the island in 1765, followers throughout the years have contributed much to the social, educational and economic landscape of Barbados.

In making this statement, bishop-elect of the Moravian Church, Dr Conrad Spencer, urged members not to rest on their laurels as there was significant work yet to be done.

Spencer, who will be consecrated on November 22, delivered the sermon as Moravians gathered at the historic Sharon Church, St Thomas, last Sunday evening to celebrate the church’s 250th anniversary.

The celebration was held under the theme: Continuing The Mission To Advance The Kingdom Of God.
