TOMORROW, FRIDAY, October 9, is Open Day at the Psychiatric Hospital. The public is invited to visit the Black Rock, St. Michael, facility from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
During the day, there will also be a health fair in the main car park, where members of the public will be able to get a number of health checks, including HIV testing, blood pressure checks, stress tests and PSA testing.
A fun walk is planned for Sunday starting at 6 a.m. at the hospital and finishing at Brandon’s Beach. Wednesday, October 14, is Staff Appreciation Day, when staff members will be treated to massages, hair braiding, facials, pedicures, manicures and much more.
The Patients’ Sports’ Day comes off on Thursday, October 15, at the hospital’s cricket grounds, starting at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends of the patients are invited to attend.
The activities end on Sunday, October 18, with a concert put on by the patients in the Nurses’ Lounge, starting at 3 p.m. (BGIS)
