Woman on cocaine charges granted bail

A 23-YEAR-OLD St Michael woman was granted $80 000 bail after she pleaded not guilty to four cocaine-related offences in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court today.

Donissa Shontelle Foster of #2A North Close, Wildey, St Michael was arrested yesterday after she arrived in the island on a Caribbean Airlines flight from Guyana.

Three transparent taped packages containing three kilogrammes of cocaine with a street value of $150 000 were allegedly found concealed in a false compartment in her suitcase.

She was charged with possession of cocaine, possession with intent to supply, importation of cocaine and trafficking.                   

Foster will reappear in the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court on November 4.

Her bail conditions include surrendering her passport and reporting to Central Police Station every Monday before 10 a.m.  (PR/NB)
