‘Lil Man’ looms large on court

THE RAINS disrupted Saturday night’s road tennis action at Silver Hill but not before the exciting Antonio “Lil Man” Daniel brought his blazing racquet to light up the night while entertaining a small crowd including Minister of Sport Stephen Lashley.

Playing his first game of the competition, Daniel whipped Stig Meritt 21-12, 21-10. Although Meritt seemed to be holding his own against Daniel, he conceded defeat at 19-12 in the first game and at 16-10 in the second when the rains came again to wash out the remainder of the night’s fixture.
