THE TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS that were placed on the importation of live birds, hatching eggs and on fresh, frozen and chilled poultry meat and products, including table eggs for personal use and commercial sale, have been lifted for Canada.

This is according to the Veterinary Services Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, which explained that the lifting of restrictions took effect from today, Monday, October 19.

However, restrictions remain in place for the United States and the United Kingdom due to the continuing events with respect to the Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI). (BGIS)
