THE 16 best players in four categories will engage in battle when the semi-finals of the Silver Hill Road Tennis Championship serve off today from 7 p.m. on the Silver Hill hard courts.

While the in-house, juniors and women are expected to toss up some intriguing battles, the greater focus will be on the “A” class clashes.

Defending champion Julian “Michael Jackson” White faces Mark “Venom” Griffith while the 2014 losing finalist Antonio “Lil Man” Daniel meets the consistent Curtis Jones, who is yet to break the runners-up ceiling in any national tournament.

On Monday night Jones advanced with a straight sets win over Marson Johnson 21-17, 21-15. Griffith, who had shot to stardom with back-to-back titles at Silver Hill easily disposed of Michael “Mikey Jean” Jean 21-12, 21-11.
