BARBADIANS CONTINUE TO DO WELL in the sport of kings at Northlands Park in Alberta after sweeping the first half of last Wednesday night’s eight-race programme.

With the season coming to a halt today, Rico Walcott bagged a hat-trick while Desmond Bryan took the opening event.

Walcott surged late in the second race over one mile to prevail by a nose aboard Topasannah as the pair used 1:40.24 off the clock to complete the trip. That was followed by a pair of six and a half furlong sprint victories.

First, he made all the running aboard Spiceseller in a measured time of 1:18.79.  (LY)
