Kelly’s advice against the grain

THE NEEDS OF the human body may require a divergence from common health practices, says Nicholas Kelly, of the Natural Medical Centre.

He advised a large crowd attending a recent lecture on Digestion – How The Body Works at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre to follow practices which might be considered controversial.

Some of his advice included: do not lower your cholesterol, do not cut out salt or fats, do not eat a big breakfast, do not exercise in the morning and do not drink a lot of water, especially tap water.

Kelly said all these measures were geared to accommodate the body’s digestive system. He said the process involved three cycles – appropriation (noon to 8 p.m.), assimilation (8 p.m. to 4 a.m) and elimination (from 4 a.m to noon) which included five steps – the mouth, the stomach, the duodenum, the ileum and the colon.
