THE CHILDREN of St Martins/Mangrove Primary School got major insights into Governor General Sir Elliott Belgrave today.
Sir Elliott visited the school and openly shared with the children on a range of topics including how he felt on his appointment to the highest office in the land, what he did in his spare time and why The Ash Grove is his favourite song.
The children were told of Sir Elliott’s life journey, particularly the time he spent in the judicial system.
They were also urged to emulate Sir Elliott’s good qualities. Principal Judy Brathwaite said, “at this juncture we need models for children to emulate”.
She suggested that Sir Elliott’s visit would provide that for the children. (LK)
