ONE DAY LATER and the relegation tie is still on serve.

Just like how Darian King is still on point.

The King held court yet again, having levelled Barbados’ all-important Davis Cup Group I tie versus Uruguay via a gritty four-set singles victory yesterday to cap a rather eventful opening day at the National Tennis Centre.

He wasn’t at his best, but the Bajan No.1 was certainly good enough to erase his country’s initial 1-0 deficit and down an upset-minded Rodrigo Arus 6-1, 6-3, 3-6, 6-1.

This was only a couple hours after hometown boy Seanon Williams played a very up and down game in a disheartening 6-2, 6-2, 6-1 loss to Santiago Maresca that gave the visitors that early advantage.
