MEMBERS OF THE Drug Squad have arrested and charged Jamaican national Donnarie Hibbert with four drug-related offences.
According to police, the 43-year-old arrived by air from Jamaica yesterday and a police dog drew attention to her luggage.
Hibbert was referred to Customs and four packages of cannabis weighing two kilogrammes were found.
She appeared in the Oistins Magistrates’ Court today, and pleaded guilty to charges of possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation.
Hibbert was fined $50 000 forthwith or two years in prison on the charges of importation while she received a conviction, reprimand and a discharge on the remaining charges. (PR/NB)
