Great Bajan holiday with one small flaw

I HAD SOME FRIENDS from the United States here recently on a one-week holiday.

They had an absolutely wonderful time. From Oistins to Martin’s Bay to the Atlantis Submarine to snorkelling to the Safari land tour it was an interesting vacation for them. Of course, we took them to the Cheapside market early a Saturday morning and also ensured they experienced what a Sunday morning church service in Barbados is like.

They plan to return to Bim next year for our 50th anniversary of Independence and to bring some others with them.

There was just one thing which annoyed them: it was the constant bother of a man in Bridgetown trying to get them to purchase some trinkets which they did not want.

He subsequently appealed to them for a little change. Imagine if this happens 100 times a day to visitors in The City. What a turn off. Whoever has the responsibility, please do something about this problem.
